The Planting of the Seed
Often times we look at an accomplishment at the end state!
We admire people for their accomplishments and achievements. We see the end of a thing. But how often do we consider how it started?
What did it start with? When did it start? And what did it take to achieve the goals?
It Starts With A Seed
Have you ever seen a mustard seed? They are very, very small. When you hold a mustard seed in your hand you have to take care that you don't lose it, because of its size it can easily be dropped, blow away or lost.
Any goal or achievement starts with a seed. The seed may be in the form of a dream, a vision, an encouraging word. It may be in the form of an idea sparked by creativity.
What Do We Do With The Seed?
The seed has to be planted in order to grow. In nature, the seed must be buried and covered in soil.
It is no longer seen, it is buried. I imagine that it's a dark place as dirt and soil is usually dark.
This is the germination period. The seed absorbs water, activates its internal processes and develops roots and shoots.
Tending To The Seed
As the roots of the seed develops, someone has to tend to the seed. Someone has to water it, add fertilizer at the appropriate time. Someone also needs to make sure the seed which is now growing into a plant, has the proper amount of sunlight to achieve its maximum growth.
Sometimes, plants need protection from strong winds so that they are not damaged.
Where Is Your Seed?
And now let's take a moment to ask ourselves, where is our seed? What stage of growing is it in? What amount of care do we need to continue its growth?
Do we need to fertilize our seed/plant?
Take some time to ponder on your seed. Make a commitment to give your seed what it needs so that it will grow and mature.
