Taking The Journey
The definition of journey is: an act of traveling from one place to another, or to travel somewhere.
At GBOC we are grateful to have the opportunity to journey with the girls and boys as they develop and grow.
Being able to walk along side of them with their parents and guardians as they learn and come to know themselves is such a pleasure and responsibility.
The Journey of Learning
We are able to enjoy how each child learns. Some of them learn by repetition, some learn better when a story is attached to the lesson. We allow them to share thier personal experiences while we are learning.
Some learn better when they are able to demonstrate the lesson. Being able to tie an act with the actual lesson serves for great theatrics during review time.
Being Sensitive
During our sessions we practice being sensitive to each child’s learning style, gifts and talents. We often use them when a child may be having a challenging day.
An amazing add is that the children have become sensitive to their counterparts as well.
They are not afraid to let us know if they think one is having a challenging day. As well as taking it upon themselves to cater to one who needs some extra attention or care.
Each day is a journey on its own. That’s one of the exciting parts of being at GBOC! Each day is different and brings its own story and experience.
Faith, hope, and perseverance — these are the bridges that carry us from where we are to where we need to be.”
